A clogged dryer vent is not only a nuisance, but at the same time a threat to the proper use of your dryer. In addition, an unclean vent will increase your dryer's energy costs. The biggest danger, however, comes from accumulations of lint that clog the duct and ignite from the heat of the dryer. Each year, more than 15,000 house fires break out this way in the U.S. alone. The solution is to clean dryer vents on a regular basis. We recommend an interval of 12 months.
There are several ways to clean dryer vents - these include cleaning by hand, by rotation, or by compressed air.
